Marco Bicego launches the second edition of the Academy
Marco Bicego inaugurates the second edition of its Academy for the training of new talents in the field of jewelry production and specialised craftsmanship: a training course that combines classroom teaching, structured training and individual coaching within the company, with the aim of introducing new specialised professionals and perpetuating the excellence of the Italian goldsmith tradition.
The training, which lasts a total of 4 months, is divided into a series of theoretical and practical courses in hand engraving, stone setting and mounting, and bench goldsmithing.
«For us, the Academy is a commitment to the Vicenza area and to the district to which we belong, as part of a project to promote craftsmanship and revitalize the old goldsmithing professions, a commitment for which we have recently been recognised with the award of the Veneto Awards 2023. But it is also our commitment to the new generations, both in terms of employment opportunities and training, to keep the culture of jewelry expertise alive»
said Marco Bicego, Founder & Creative Director of the brand.
This second edition is also being held in collaboration with Gi Group, the first Italian multinational recruitment company with 7 offices in the Vicenza area and the training takes place at the Scuola Arte e Mestieri of Vicenza, a department of the Fondazione Centro Produttività Veneto, which has a long tradition in the field of artisan crafts and has established itself over time as the most important training institution for the professionalisation of artisan crafts in the Vicenza area, particularly in the gold sector.
